Engagement Reading

Engaged life has given me reason and excitement to read. Who would have thought?

This and this book (both highly recommended!) have given me lots of 'ah-ha' moments. I thought I had a good idea of how a male works, but have now realised that I have so much more to learn - some things only life can teach me. I can't wait.

So far, I have not only learnt that respect can mean more to a man than anything else but also, when a male answers your question of "what are you thinking about?" with "nothing", they actually mean nothing - for a women, this can be so flipping frustrating because our brains don't work that way!

Our next book is this one, which was recommended by our newly-wed friends.

Mr J and I know that we can't prepare ourselves fully to what marriage will hold, however, we feel so blessed for the encouragement and support we have. With God walking with us, we are excited!

If you want more information on the books we are reading, feel free to contact me! On the other hand, if you have any advice, that is more than welcome too.

Love is a choice.

Counting My Blessings

I'm thankful for supportive family and friends who make me feel loved every single day.

I'm thankful for early mornings to acknowledge the ANZAC's on the twenty-fifth of April. The public holiday is a spanking-good bonus.

I'm thankful for a man who I can call my future-husband. He is one of a kind - the one that makes me laugh and cry all at the same time.

I'm thankful for the best hairdresser ever - my mum. I haven't had my hair this short since I was five years of age. Welcome back softness and bounce, good bye dead ends. Change is good.

I'm thankful for oversized clothes and big scarfes that make you feel comfy, even on fat days!

I'm thankful for colourful pens that brighten the darkest study days.

I'm thankful for pay days. They make my bank balance look so much more healthier than the day before.

God is greater than mudcake and ice-cream. He is my cherry on top!!

What are some of your blessings?

Orange and Date Cake

Dear Orange and Date Cake. You were purchased at a new little cafe in Lobethal. I had never tried you before, but now I wander why I hadn't. I think I'm in love. Thank you for satisfying my sweet tooth, yet not making me feel too guilty as you were gluten free. I enjoyed consuming you over coffee and conversation with Dad. I must try to bake you sometime. Morning complete. Love, Teagan

Camping Trip

Mr J and I drove three and a half hours to sleep in a national park with no electricity. It was amazing. While at Mambray Creek we learnt how to put up a tent, had various encounters with a deflating mattress (especially at 3:00am!), played games, read for hours, cooked marshmallows over a campfire, had no plans, went to bed early, laughed and ate food. I wouldn't change a thing! God blessed us with beautiful weather, a safe drive, wonderful sights of mountains and bush, quality conversations and a close view of our Australian animals.

Let's go back!

Costume up

Costume parties are fun, especially when you have half an hour to prepare something. 'Dress as something starting with C, A or T' they said. Mr J used his crafty skills to make this sign, while I went through our Christmas decorations to become Tinsel-ly! There was no double-up's of our costumes.

Crazy-busy but worth it

The last couple weeks have consisted of Butter Chicken (with loads of cashews) for lunch.

The start of a new mixed netball season, resulting in a purchase of bright new runners. Pink makes you go faster, right?

Facetime with my one and only fiancé. This guy makes me smile, especially with his MYO love heart!

Not to mention Mr J and I are now owners of our first couch, which ads to the storage of our dining table.

We have also had a a 12th birthday party, a kitchen tea for a bride-to-be, study, work, church, board & card games, private screening of The Croods 3D and some wedding planning. I've also learnt that if Mr J accidentally picks his footy tips on my account, not to change them... that was my mistake this week - I changed them to realise Jamie's round two results were 100% correct (margin & all) - good work honey!

Crazy-busy but worth it.

Easter and a Wedding

After a week of work and studying, we were able to relax over the long weekend with a beautiful wedding and the celebration of Jesus' resurrection. Realistically, it was also a good excuse to eat yummy food and see family! Today means that there is ten whole months until Mr J and I get married... two more weddings before then and I'm getting excited. Let's hope time flies, but not too fast.
